Default Forum Functionality

If you have any further queries please use the "Contact Us" link at the foot of the forum.
• What is an Established Member? In an attempt to encourage new members to participate in the forum film discussion we've set a 3 post minimum before you are allowed access to the 'Looking for a Video/DVD' forums. Rather than post 3 meaningless additions to meet the requirements, do please introduce yourself HERE and try to engage in the lively debates with other users. Thank you.Three consecutive irrelevant posts aimed at merely reaching the quota will likely result in your account being frozen.
• Images To post an image on the forum. First upload your image to an online host. There are many free services available on the internet, such as ImageShack (ImageShack® - Image Hosting) and Photobucket (Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket), your image can be uploaded in an instant with varying linking methods.
• Once uploaded, make a note of the image URL (address). Then return to the forum, and in the posting box press the image link in the menu bar: Now paste your image URL into the pop-up box and press 'OK'.
• Images in BMP format are very large (in bytes) and don't show any more detail than the equivalent images in JPG or GIF format. This means they take ages to download (view), even on a fast connection. There are many public domain image viewers that also let you convert a BMP into a JPG or GIF before uploading it. Like IrfanView
• If your image is very big then it'll probably be best to actually put a smaller, thumbnail image in the message and to have that link to the full sized image. That makes it easier for people to only download (view) the large images they want to see and it won't mess up the layout on the forum as huge images are wont to do.

To do that is a bit trickier, you'll need the URL of the full sized image and the URL of the thumbnail they display which you can get by doing a right click on the thumbnail and selecting "Copy image location". The actual words used when you right click depends on your browser. Then write it out in the forum message like
• iTrader The iTrader function allows you the opportunity to leave Ebay style feedback on your experience trading with another forum member, or to view previous comments left by other member’s. To enter iTrader, click on the link below the users post count or view their profile by clicking on the username.
• To leave feedback, enter iTrader then click on the Submit Feedback for <username> link. You now have the opportunity to select if you were a Buyer, Seller or whether the transaction was a trade, your experience with this user, and to leave a comment should you wish.
• Please do not leave negative feedback without due consideration, attempt to contact the member first and seek a mutual resolution.
• This is for genuine transactions only. Do not attempt to massage your rating by creating additional accounts as it is highly likely this will be uncovered.
• When feedback is left on your profile a Private Message will be sent alerting you of new feedback. Should you have an objection to any posted feedback please use the Report Bad Rating link to inform a moderator you contest the report.
• Avatars To add an avatar to your profile go to User CP and click on Edit Avatar. Custom avatars for use on this forum must be a maximum of 128 x 128 pixels and no larger than 117kb. Be sure to go to Edit Options and ensure Show Avatars is ticked.
• Forum Width The new forum style has been designed to be 'fluid' to meet with users personal preferences. To alter the width of the forum go to User CP > Edit Options, the scroll to Style Width at the foot of the page. Options are 770 or 901 pixels, or 80,90,95,100%
• Flags Should you wish to do so, a country flag can be added to your profile from: User CP > Edit Profile
