Get involved is the answer. Look around the various topics that are discussed and offer advice and support to other members, that's what this site is all about. Welcome and enjoy.

Default struggling to post in forum

Hi,
I have been a member here for a while and have posted in the request forums previously, but I don't get to come here often due to pressures of work. However, I called in today to post in the forums and when I try it tells me I do not have permission to do so. Any reason why please? Is there something I should be doing, or something I have missed? It allows me to login so I know my username and password are correct. Would appreciate any help please.
Helen

You have to have made 3 posts. The one above was your third. Try again.

I wish I had claws.

What are you trying to do when you get told that you may not post?

It's only the "Looking for a Video/DVD (Film & TV)" forums that are restricted and require you to have made a number of posts in other forums. You seem to be able to post in this forum OK

Were you logged in when you tried to post?
You must have been or you get messages telling you to log in

Were you trying to post to a forum or were you trying to send a private message to an individual?

Steve

Default I Had The Same Thing Happened To Me

I couldn't figure it out for the life of me why I couldn't post in the DVD/Video Request Forum until I came across and read about the 3 post rule. It makes sense and I actually support it. You have to try and have some way to tell the real from the posers.

Well that answers alot of my questions too!
That's fair enough though. Means that people get involved more, and talk!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone!
Big fan of British TV series, therefore should be chatting alot!

Make a note of it or, if you're using Windows, get it to remember it for you?

If I wasn't meant to drive that fast, the pedal would stop half way!!
