Default Your signing off message

I, and I suppose many others would like to know how you came up with your sign off message and where it came from, at the end of your message for a particular subject within the forum.

Mine, "Hooked off the line", comes from the opening season of The Big Match, when Mike Keen of Queens Park Rangers cleared the ball off the line. Mike visited my house some fourty plus years ago and to this day, I have always been a fan of his and the old QPR lads and can still hear the legendary Brian Moore shouting "Hooked off the line" on the opening sequence of The Big Match. Great Days.

I used to use a line from The Dark Man .... but these days I use some priceless gems uttered by The Boy Wonder, who's my son for those who didn't know.

I wish I had claws.

Mine is an old favourite - the welcome uttered by the Count upon your arrival at Castle Dracula....

At risk of sounding really dense how do you do a signing off message - presumably you need to format and save it but I couldn't find any instructions. Cheers :-)

You have to go to User CP and the Edit Signature section.

I liked your previous one Bats, "You'd better tell Mummy it was your fault."

I was sure it was what you told him

Mine comes from a line in one of my favourite all time Brit movies The Long Good Friday

Well it does now because I have just added it to my signature.

There's a lot of dignity in that, isn't there? Going out like a raspberry ripple.

I was thinking what a hospitable chap you must be ... now I'm having second thoughts!

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

I saw one yesterday in another forum.

"A five year old could understand this, bring me a five year old"

Is it Groucho Marx?

Rod Steiger in Heat of the Night.

I asked him to look at the body. That's who he is.

This thread could get a bit surreal when folks change their message !

And isn't half the fun trying to work out where the lines come from ?

Mine are from a British movie with a stalwart cast adapted from a French book. Can anybody name the film and the actors who say the lines ?

'I've only got one spare'

'Well, borrow one !'
