Default Bat-quiz 5
Greetings Bat-Quiz fans.

This weeks extravanganza is about a British film. I will make four statements about a mystery film which should hopefully lead you to identify that film.
  1. An actor later famous for comedy roles appears in this drama.
  2. Three types of criminal activity feature heavily in the plot.
  3. A pint of milk is important.
  4. Both the director and the leading man died in the same manner.
Once you think you have identified the film, please PM THE ANSWER TO ME.

The first person to provide me with the correct title of the film will win a copy of that very film.

Quite a few people had a go at this one and more than one person got it right.

First, explanations of those statements ....
  1. An actor later famous for comedy roles appears in this drama. Leslie Phillips
  2. Three types of criminal activity feature heavily in the plot. Smuggling, robbery and murder.
  3. A pint of milk is important. A nightwatchmen is unable to collect his daily pinta, thus alerting a passing policeman that something is wrong.
  4. Both the director and the leading man died in the same manner. Basil Dearden and Bonar Colleano both died in separate car accidents.
The film is ....

I thought of Theatre Of Blood when the head of Arthur Lowe was placed on the bottle and from there on in I was totally lost.
