Hello. I am posting here for the first time; I am from the US, born, raised and lived most of my life in New York City and Boston, and now live in the Chicago area.
I grew up with parents who introduced me to British films at a very young age. A very brief list of favorites would include: Historical: Lawrence of Arabia The Bridge Over the River Kwai Comedy: The Happiest Days of Your Life The Belles of St. Trinian's Science Fiction: Things to Come Drama: The Invaders (I believe the title in Britain might be "The 49th Parallel") Fantasy: The Man Who Could Work Miracles A Christmas Carol, with Alistair Sim |

Sorry everyone only just seen your response to my introduction.
Penfold Thanks for the warning but too late! Another Eric Portman fan is hard to resist ha! ha! Batman Sorry only just seen your response also re Pat Roc and your question about Maxwell Reed. I'm sure you know he was in one of Eric's little known films Daybreak. Another favourite of mine was also in this Ann Todd. I have several stills from Eric's films and some publicity shots and Daybreak is one of them. I didn't buy one with Maxwell in he's the baddy and gets poor Eric into lots of trouble! Regards Maralyn |
