Morning all !
I've been reading the posts on this forum for a few weeks - and I thought it was about time that I introduced myself. I don't claim to be an expert on films or TV, though I have seen quite a lot. It's very nice to find a forum where people don't spend all their time pretending to be "cool" Americans, or arguing about what is or is not politically correct ! ![]() Tim |

![]() But I thought we were supposed to be discussing films? So here's a question; do you (or anybody else) know if the short film "The Blue Boy" (TV, 1994, Emma Thompson) was ever released commercially in the UK? And if so, where can I get a copy? Because no-one, apart from IMDB, seems to have heard of it! Chris |

Morning All,
As a newbie to BritMovie I'd like to introduce myself. My names Neil and ICT manager for a local company. When I have the time my main pastime is music (listening, collecting and playing) but my secondary one is film. I like silent comedy (especially Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, etc), animation of many kinds and eras (Betty Boop being a favourite) and films both UK and foreign. To give you and idea of my film tastes here in no particular order are the most regular entries in my top ten (dependent on my mood) - A Canterbury Tale / A Matter of Life and Death / The Nightmare Before Christmas / Harvey / Belleville Rendez-vous / early Betty Boop cartoons / Amelie / Goldrush / Pan's Labrynth / Titfield Thunderbolt / Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi / Y Tu Mama / Hobson's Choice / but my number one favourite for many years is To Kill a Mockingbird. Looking forward to discussing classic Brit films and television. Cheers, Neil |
