Another "Hi" here!

Like others I came across this forum whilst looking up a film (location in my case), and looks like a nice place to stick around.

Welcome.

Indeed - the knowledge here is both extensive and eclectic.

All the best

Talking Introduction

Hi I am an ex projectionist who has never got the job out of his system.

I used to really enjoy watching trade test transmissions both on tv and 16mm film,
as such about 2 years ago I purchased a projector and films, the other day I was looking for information on the internet and came across this site, there appear to be a lot of people on here with the same interest, which I find quite exciting and I would love to hear from anyone concerning the above.

Best regards
Lawrence

Hello all!

I used to be a member of this site at some point in the past, but I've not logged in for ages and my old account seems to have stopped working!

Anyway, I love movies, and I love Britain, so this site is perfect! I'm especially interested in locations, and have just 'gone live' with my own locations site...
UK Onscreen

So, um, yeah... Hello!

Found this site because I'm desperate to find a copy of a rare VHS (that is if it is in that format-- it came out in 1975 -- it may not have ever made it to VHS) of a Masterpiece Theater series. Anyway, as a way of introduction I am married to a filmmaker and we are both avid film viewers. Have found some of the discussion on this site pretty informative. That's all for now.

Default Hello

Hello,

I teach English to juniors and seniors in Arkansas, USA. I hope to be able to find, obtain, watch, and discuss movies adapted from the English literature my students study.

Thank you

Post New Membership last week

Have just got round to joining last week and wish to thank everyone who has contributed an answer on the new threads so far - to some of the many questions I have regarding British Films. Some of threads, still await replies.

Still trying to find out how this Website works.

I take it your moniker comes from Battle of the Sexes? (ah yes, your signature) If you've any questions about how the forum works send a private message to myself or one of the mods. Sometimes queries may lay dormant for a long time before the right person comes along who possesses the answer.

Welcome aboard.

Default Hi there I'm new!

Found this site on Google, thought I'd join up and say howdy to you all.

I live in Berkshire in the UK, and I'm always trying to find old British films to watch. Hopefully I will be able to post in the Search forums soon.

Hi from me. Another one who landed here with a bump whilst looking up some information. Looks like a good place for info and from reading threads, everyone seems to be very helpful.

I will be back from time to time when real life permits

Default Hi di Ho

First day here........and I am really hoping someone can help me out with a quote from a film!
"When I die I will be safe in the knowledge that there will always be a little bit of my heart devoted to you"
....it's bugging me to death, and all the search engines for film quotes I have come across are no help!

Default Sherlock Holmes fan and collector

Hello to all:

I am just joining the site, and hope to make contacts with fellow Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts.

I am especially interested in hearing from anyone that has Sherlock Holmes movie or TV show photos available (such as 8x10 movie stills or lobby cards), metal miniatures (such as 54mm figures), and rare Sherlock Holmes films or television shows.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone that has recorded episodes from old Sherlock Holmes television episodes, such as those starring Douglas Wilmer, Peter Cushing, or German or other foreign TV productions on DVD.

Thanks very much, and I look forward to meeting new friends on the site.

David
