Well, you've managed and welcome. Tell us a bit about your film interests - you'll find almost every interest is catered for here.

Hello all. My first post, it was suggested I make one. I am still finding my way around here. I am a huge fan of British movies. The majority of my all time favorite films are British movies. I am looking forward to being here with you all.

Aitch,
Thank you so much...and I see you have been around.

I love British movies, I grew up watching no end of old British films, being a neighbor of British Columbia, we got their TV stations and there were always old films on.

Hello there Guardsman,
I almost hesitate to ask, but have you ever seen The Queen's Guards (1961)?
It was made by that master of British film, Michael Powell. But it's possibly the worst film he ever made

But it was about The Guards, and specifically about The Grenadier Guards. Or rather they were at the heart of a story that was woven around them and the trooping of the colour on 11 June, 1961.

Default Hello Everyone

Well, I have just joined and a message popped up suggesting I introduce myself, so I hope this is the right place to do it.

I found you during a search for a fab 1970s documentary called Microbes and Men which I have been trying to track down a copy of for years on and off. I see someone else on the site rates it too, so maybe I'll be lucky this time.

But I love so much British film and TV stuff and from a quick look round your forums it looks like you guys share a lot of my interests too, so I look forward to some great discussions and finding out lots of new stuff about great British films.

I'm not sure how to find my way around yet, but will go exploring soon.

Cheers

Hi all,
I registered a couple of days ago but I'll introduce myself as well.

I think this is an amazing site. I've just become a fan of Eric Portman. There aren't any words that could describe how I feel about him and his work except this :O !
I am also a fan of Leslie Howard. These two are my favorites because IMO they were both talented and amazing at their craft, and that they had totally different styles.

Well, that's all I have to say!

Oh and also will the gallery be up soon? I haven't had a chance to look through it.
