Hello Everyone,

I have just found this site and it looks very interesting. I am an Editor working out of ITV West studios in Bristol. I am also a writer and am currently working on a screenplay but I am particularly interested in adaptation. I have just finished a reworking of Emile Zola's "Therese Raquin".
I would love to hear from anyone and wish you all well.

Kind regards
Terence James

Hi Faginsgirl - sorry for the delay replying but yeah, the National Media Museum (nee National Museum of Photography, Film and Television) is a great place to work and the sheer amount of history this place holds is a sight to behold!

Hallo Everyone,
This is my first message - I am really pleased to have found this wonderful site. I live in Tasmania, Australia. It's been enjoyable reading both questions and replies about so many of the films and television shows that I have enjoyed throughout the years. I am looking forward to being able to ask for advice and information from the helpful people on this site. Thank you, GaryHobart

Hi, I'm new to the forum, as far as posting [I've been lurking for awhile now]. I found the site by accident, and what a find! I live in Canada, but I love British movies and TV. It must be in the genes [my father was born in Newcastle]. What I like most about this site is that the people here are polite and respectful [not to mention very knowledgeable], and can spell and put a grammatically correct sentence together. That's a rarity on internet forums, nowadays.

Hi, thanks to "oldgit" who posts on my forum at Movie Pursuit I have decided to become part of this community. It seems a lot of members on here have films i have found hard to obtain and hope to buy or trade with them. Its good to see a communtiy where so many people are keen to keep the classics alive for others to share.

Chris.

I've posted a bit and find I should really have introduced myself. I do recognise quite a few people from Steve Crook's Powell and Pressburger list, so hi to all. The last British film I watched was Whisky Galore - thus the name! Though I'm actually female (best get this clear now, in case of confusion).

Default Another newbie!

Hello,

Just joined up today, after being pointed in this direction by some of the peeps on the British Horror Films forum. Nice to be here!

As well as British Horror I have very fond childhood memories of all those wonderful Ealing comedies of a Saturday afternoon, and going to the Saturday morning flicks with my cousin in the mid-70s for a variety bill and a rousing sing-a-long. Anyone have fond memories of those, too?

My husband's a horror writer and I'm a designer, and we're both avid collectors of classic British films and TV. Looking forward to some entertaining chats on this board!

Hi, I am Karen, and my ideal way to relax and unwind is a day watching old movies, on the tv.
I also enjoy swapping memories with other about old tv series that seem to have been forgotten and should be revivied,

Ones like: catweasel, one by one, flaxton boys, etc.
Look forward to chatting with some of you.
