Hello.
Stumbled across your wonderful forum whilst doing some research on some original stills i recently came across. It proved very helpfull but there are some stills/photos i have not been able to identify.
I was wondering if anybody could take a couple of minutes and see if they can identify the photos.
They are in the set on the right marked unknown.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Geoff

Hi there, just found this site by accident when looking for availability of a film I haven`t seen for ages. A great site, and very informative. I love some of the old British films. For a while, I worked at the National Film Archive film restoration department at Aston Clinton, preparing the old 35mm nitrate film stock for copying onto safety film. I think the place has now gone, moved possibly to the colour film department at Berkhamsted. Thanks to this site, I saved money by finding out that the copy of the film I wanted was badly done, and not worth bothering about.

HI, I am new to this forum, discovered it byh chanse. For now I have nothing particulary interesting to say, I just thought I should introduce myself and see what happens. I am Swedish, living in Sttockholm, but usually I don´t have any problems with the lingo (but when I look on British films lackikng Swedish subtitles I prefer if there is subtitles in English because 1) I´m a little hard of hearing and 2) some dialects are a pain..) I,m 71 years old and therefore I´m retired from work. So I have the time to watch film quite often. My latest favorite among British film makers is the dkirector Joe Write, who so impressed me with Atonement that I bought his earlier work Pride and Perjudice (even if Jane Austen usually not is my cup of tea). OK, this will enough for now. See you!

Stumbled across this sight whilst trying to find info on June Laverick,
Nice to see so many people interested in British Films. I live in greece (4 years) there are plenty of c**p American Movies on TV but very few British ones, Still at least I have a few Ealing Comedies on DVD.I have to trawl the charity shops when visiting the UK in the hope of picking up the 'freebies' given away by the newspapers.

Question Missing & rare 1960's & 1970's tv shows

Hello,
By way of an introduction to this forum I thought I'd let everyone know of my interest in any missing & rare & not so rare tv shows from the sixties & seventies-one series I'd love to see again is the childrens 70's show called fear in the night or something like that-has anyone got a copy I can have?

Default introductions

Hello everyone,
I knew nothing about this site until I was steered to it by one of your French contributers .
I have an a appreciation of most movies of whatever era but have a particular love of anything Hitchcock film or tv.
I am from the South East of Ireland and just down the beach from where " Saving Private Ryan " was filmed.
Just looking at the posts I can see that I have rather a lot of catching up to do,something that should be most pleasurable .
So Hello to all and hope that this is the first 0f many.

Wink Introducing myself from down under

Hi there,
Duncan the Winemaker is my name.
I have been searching the web for years and google picked up your excellent web site with a reference to Clochmerle.
Many years ago I remember screaming with laughter at the antics of this classic BBC series.

So, I have joined your forum to look, learn and listen and hope that a DVD of such can be found.
regards

Default hello hello

I've been a non too frequent visitor to the site, never made a post but browsed quite a bit....now I need to beg for a movie but thats for another thread.

I enjoy old british movies, mostly comedies....Will Hay, carry ons, ealing stuff and the like. I venture in to Laurel and Hardy & abbott + costello.

My wife who is Canadian (I'm English) doesn't get the whole old movie thing...and as for black and white forget it. I'm pretty nostalgic Tiswas, swap shop, camberwick green & trumpton all take me back to a simpler time.

Don't hold it against me but I'm a huge Howard Stern fan.

Cheers for now.
