Hi all,
Just recently discovered this wide-ranging forum.
Due to the influence of both parents I have loved film since I can remember.
Since the late 50's/early 60's we've always had film projectors wherever I've lived. Starting with 9.5mm now progressed to 8mm, 16mm and digital projection.
Along with a colleague, we make presentations (on 8mm/16mm) to charitable and benevolent groups, senior citizens, historical and railway societies. ( free of charge)
regards,
Mal

Default hi all - n00b alert

Eh up everyone.

Just here to read mainly, but there are a couple of questions I've got lined up. Mainly in the "can anyone identify this film from these tiny granules of information I have" line of posting.

I have little to no knowledge of cinema and film, sadly.

Wink Introduction

I`m an expat. Immigrated to australia 50 years ago when I was 4. I love British movies and TV shows, think they`re the best we get on our free TV. Have very few memories of Earby, where we lived (Lancashire) I was born in Skipton in Yorkshire. Get homesick when I watch "Pommie" shows. Found this site by accident when I was looking for info on Amanda Donohoe. That`s all for now at3.21am downunde time. Look forward to hearing from a few Brit movie and tv enthusiests.

Cool Just to say hello!

hi guys,

just a short note to introduce myself, I am a wheelchair reliant guy late forties, living in Northamptonshire. I am an avid fan of British comedy, just can't get into the US trash we seem to get on TV. I like some of the old Ealing comedy and lots of the "Carry On".

I am having my ear bent by my mother (now in her late 70's God Bless her) asking if I can get hold of a copy of "Dangerous Moonlight", I haven't had much success so far and would appreciate it if anyone out there could help!

Cheers guys! Take Care

Tim

Default Introduction

Hi, my name is Neil, I am based in East Anglia and have been into movies since a kid, probably started from going to a saturday morning cinema club when i was about 9 or 10 and seeing weekly serials, then a short mystery movie before a main feature. Those were the days eh? Short features before the main ! I am also connected to the site www.raredvds4sale.co.uk and whilst they have a very large collection of movies, they do also enjoy trading with others into the same too to build up the collection!

I am particularly into Asian cinema as well as European, and dont mind the odd trip to the local multiplex to check out whats on too.

Look forward to getting in touch with a few others on here and posting a few messages!

Regards,

Neil

Hello
I live in Ipswich in Suffolk; I joined this site three days ago while searching for Mr Axelford's Angel. A ITV Playhouse production from 1974, for some reason it always sticks in my mind all these years along with The Flipside of Dominick Hide.

I bought a copy of Dominick Hide from Amazon recently but have yet to track down Mr A's Angel.
I see petandave, a member on this site, has a copy and would dearly love to contact him.

However I cannot send him a PM or reply to his post as I keep getting messages telling me I do not have permission to do so for 'one of several reasons'.
I am assuming it is because my account is waiting activation, maybe not as I can post here, who knows, I do not.

Very Frustrated of Ipswich.
Come on Guys PLEASE ACTIVATE ME!!

Looking forward to tracking down some more contacts via this site.

Rgds
Don
