Hi guys, I've already introduced myself once but needed to post again to be able to PM a fellow member and felt this was the safest place to 'waste' one.

Hope no-one minds.

Why waste one ..... why not post something interesting that we can all share.

You're right of course, mea culpa.

I was in a rush and couldn't think of anything witty or insightful. Not that I need to be in a rush to conjure up that particular state of affairs! However, to make amends, here are my ten favourite British films in no particular order.

Billy Liar
The Third Man
Lawrence of Arabia
Get Carter
The 39 Steps
Bridge on the River Kwai
The Wicker Man
Dead Man's Shoes
Carry On Up The Khyber
Goldfinger

Wink Contact............

Ah, there you all are, and thanks for waiting ..........I feel bound to tell you all i'm looking for a certain film, though i perceive i can't ask for your help on that one yet as i'm just the new kid, so..........i have a reasonable library, c. 580 DVDs/ videos, a lot from the 80's, some classics and some shelf-fillers. I like discussing all film genres, all related topics, so it's over to you now. ( Be gentle with me )

He needs this? What sort of course is he doing that he'd need a copy of a thirty year old play that's never been comercially released (as far as I'm aware)?

Someone might have it here. You need to post messages on other topics a few times and then make a post in the "Looking for a TV programme" thread.

My ex worked at Edge Hill Uni in Liverpool and had access to a massive film and sound archive for students studying. I'm sure most will provide a similar service.

I was looking up some forgotten stars of the fifties and sixties and found this site. Nice to see people who remember the golden age of entertainment. ( makes me sound ancient) I am in the entertainment industry and there is nothing better than giving someone that feel good factor. I think that has been lost a bit today. Would like to just say a big hiiii to everyone on here!
