Hi. Name's Elly. I came across this forum doing a Google search for a lost hero of mine. Thought I'd better post here before having a look around and posting in 'his' thread.

Hello everybody,
rather differently than most people in the forum I´m not a full time devoted member of a film trading community. However I thought I`d try to get some cooperation from those who carry the key. I´m from Germany and just about to complete my master thesis on David Lodge. The only thing missing is the film version of Nice work or the respective TV series. I´m in a rather desperate situatian and would appreciate all help I can get to obtain one of the films in any kind of format. Thanks in advance, Claudia

Default Hi from Belfast

Hi All,

Just stumbled across this site by accident, just spend the best part of an afternoon reading some great threads!

I'm passionate about movies, from any era – new, old, whatever. Seems like this is the site for me!

There have been so many movies made about the troubles, which I have to confess that I love to watch, but since we've moved on the're more movies being made in Belfast than about the city and it's history! Tom Hanks was over making "City of Ember" in the Harland and Wolff paint hall. Sir (Lord?) Richard Attenborough was making Closing the ring last year, and we had Vinnie Jones, Patrick Bergin, Lennox Lewis, and Roger Daltrey over in 2005 filming Johnny Was.

Anyways, just a quick "Hi" from me and I'm looking forward to reading and hopefully joining in some threads,

Briso

Hi,
I want to say hello to everyone as "brandnew" member and I try to get practice in posting (Sorry for the mistakes, if there are some. I still need practice in grammar, too ). As a huge fan of Jeremy Brett I hope to find more information about some movies and TV production I am desperately after. Any support is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Kroeti

Default My name is Peter

My name is Peter, my father, my grown up sons are all movie mad, my youngest is the proverbial walking encyclopaedia of film, either director, music, 4th actor from the left in a Roman Toga film etc, I myself have loved films since my father let me stay up as a lad to see the subtitled films "Ivan the Terrible" & "Alexander Nevetsky"
( I know, not British films ) but still a good introduction to good well made cinema, and I've been a fan since.
I have recently bought " Tunes of Glory " I really enjoyed that film when it came out, and all these years later it still holds your attention.
Other than film, my hobbies are Hill walking, Opera, Photography, Computing & Bridge, not necessary in that order.
This seems like quite a good forum ( I am in several forums, computer, Walking, Bridge ) and enjoy the question/answer formats when you are stuck with a problem, someone somewhere seems to know the answer.
This is just a short intro, and I am sure over a period of time, I will certainly be dipping in (having saved it as a bookmark on my tab in firefox). Until the next time.
