I will be in London from about May 23rd through to the end of the month and was wondering if any of the members who might be in the area would like to meet for food and/or drink in the west-end. At the moment I am flexible on any days between these dates.

    Hello, Stephen,

What an absolutely smashing good idea. Not quite enough notice or I would gladly join in. Wouldn't it be grand to have a monthly or bimonthly meet for BritMovie members who happen to be in the area?

    Cheers,

    Barbara

Unfortunately, I am "between jobs" at the moment and have little cash to spare. So I'll have to say "no", Stephen.

    But I think it's a fantastic idea

I agree with Barbara and Dave - it is an excellent idea, but alas I will not be able to make it. However,it is something to foster for the future - perhaps arrange a get together sometime in the future. Find a place which has DVD or video facilities,we all bring a DVD or video and have our own film festival. Might sound far fetched, but given time it is possible.

Hope you do meet someone from the forum,Steve.

Thankyou all for your kind comments. Hopefully sometime in the future we will be able to have a gathering. I visit the UK at least twice a year.

Perhaps a date later this year - November/December, say? - or better still next year, would give everybody chance to pencil it in?

This idea might give the forum a slight slant and make it a genuine organisation, club of like minded peeps maybe DB7 or Steve C might take up the challenge and organise via the forum a AGM of us all, I would gladly make the trip from Scotland.

Well you're welcome to come on the annual A Canterbury Tale location trip. A few forum members usually go and there will be lots of other like minded souls.

Shame you missed our I Know Where I'm Going! weekend on Mull last October.

We haven't found that Stairway to Heaven yet

Although I have been to the village seen through the camera obscura and the beach with all the sand dunes.
