    ?

I had to add something as a question mark was too short!

I second that question mark. Not quite sure what you're asking...

Sorry - I thought it was something on this site.

I tried it to see what you meant - won't be doing that again.

Would these keyword adverts help fund and obtain funding for the Britmovie site?,is that the reason for feedback?

Am I correct in thinking that if you picked up something like these they would be for the main site, or were you thinking of the forum too? Mine won't play with them at the moment as I don't have Flash installed...

Not really, I was just asked to consider them as they're already affiliated with Lovefilm and some other film sites. Personally I can't abide them but thought it best to get some feedback. It's a 99.9% chance they wont be appearing.

Haven't given it a great deal of thought but I've seen them mostly implemented on forums. Often, when logged-in they're not visible (like the current forum adblocks).

Have to agree with you as to not being a great fan. I'm grateful for those odds of 99.9% against them turning up...

Ah, but those extra pennies might have allowed you a new function to play with, and an ivory back-scrather for me!

I'm not a fan either....but at least I won't be tempted to go and see Meet The Spartans. Probably not what the advertisers had in mind...... Personally I can't imagine the sort of retailers that use this form of advertising would wish to target our demographic.....

I hate them. I've seen them on quite a few sites and apart from the way they often misuse the keyword, a lot of them don't have an easy option to dismiss the pop-up. And because with many of them you only need to let your mouse hover over them for a short while - and there's another damned pop-up

That kind of advertising smacks of contempt and disrespect for users.

Cannot say that I like any form of advertising when it comes to reviews or forums.

What beats me is how the advertisers really believe they can sell their products in such a way.

As Penfold has said, most times it's more of a turn-off than anything.
