This weeks Bat-Quiz is a Name That Film.

Below you will find a picture from a famous Britfilm. All you have to do to is tell me which film it is.

PM your answers to me. The first person to get it right wins.

The prize is a brand new DVD copy of the film in question.

The closing date is Friday June 6th 2008 at 6pm.

    Good luck.

If any film deserves full restoration (colourisation for the scenic bits) and a two-dvd special edition, it's that!

Sorry it's a bit late, but here is the result of the competition ....

    The film is ....

.... and the winner is MARK O.

Well done Mark .... PM your address to me and I will send your prize asap.

I was going to set another quiz this week, but owing to the lack of interest in this and the last one, I won't be setting one for the foreseeable future. Shame, 'cos this week's prize was gonna be a belter.

Thanks to all those who entered this one and the Max quiz.

That's a shame it gives those of us that do more chance

Perhaps when a comp is running it could be more prominent on the Forum, as I suspect some folk might not have noticed it. Thanks for running those anyway Bats

I was always taught that it was the thrill of taking part and not just the winning that was important.

That wooden hut is still there, its on the A84 Road from Stirling, through Doune where much of Monty Python and The Holy Grail was filmed, and on the way to the town of Callander where the original Dr Finlay BBc tv series was based. The road junction there consists of the tea hut and a few houses and is known as Brig'oTurk and the area is known as the Trossachs. Cheers Bats for sharing that, makes me homesick, I love the film and know most of the locations! I think competitions are a good idea, I think the lack of interest is due to the fact that the thread is buried at the bottom of the page and I must confess I have only come across it now.I would have got the answer immediately of course! Very generous of you to offer a prize, I think if there are going to be any more competitions it should be advertised or moved further up the page, I will have a word with the powers that be and any suggestions here welcome.

    Hi Bats.

I would have entered it if I had known about it but for some reason never spotted it. Anyway I wouldn't have known the answer in this case but I think it's a great idea.

I've never seen this film in my life before - but the second image was a giveaway.

All you had to do was 'Google' The Gallows Motor Mart...................and the film name comes up straight away!

AND, in case anyone is wondering, I don't enter Bat's comps myself because we are good mates and I don't think it would be ethical.

    DS x.
