    Hi

    I see that some people were trying to trace copies of Voodoo Factor and strange world of Planet x.I tried to get these and traced people involved in both productions....Unfortunately both were destroyed in the 80s along with countless other things....I dont know if bfi have anymore info

    It's a terrible shame, though not all that surprising as videotape was very expensive at the time and routinely re-used, leaving 16mm telerecordings as the only record. Once foreign sales dried up for b/w shows they were dumped to save on storage costs. Another victim of this was The Trollenberg Terror - at least this, like The Strange World of Planet X, had a movie made from it, so some record of its content survives.



    Some ITV companies (Associated Rediffusion is the most notorious example) dumped most of their video archive in a fit of pique when they lost their franchise. Under those circumstances it's surprising how much has survived.
