    So sad to report the passing of another one of my heroes. Jet Harris former bassist with The Shadows has lost his long battle with cancer. RIP Jet and sincere thanks for the music.

    Circa 1967/8 or so he rehearsed with, or auditioned for The Jeff Beck Group which also featured Ronald Wood and Roderick Stewart. A massive influence on British bass players, so long Sir.

    Jet Harris. Now that really is a shock. People of my generation leaving us. It was bad enough when Susanna York died. Where ever you are Jet, don't forget to tune your guitar and keep everyone entertained.

    I was very fond of Jet Harris - his singles with Tony Meehan were superb and he was a pretty cool looking bloke too. Sad news.
