Sad news indeed. I was only reading some bits and pieces of Harry's contributions to Robert Ross' Sid James bio across Xmas.

Slightly misleading unless he was called up when he was 16Although he was called up and served in the RAF, he was given leave to appear in eight films, including Alberto Cavalcanti's anti-fascist Went the Day Well? (1942), then again as an evacuee in The Demi-Paradise (1943).Sad news though - he was always excellent value.
I just saw him in Lucky Jim. Always welcome. R.I.P.
Cannot believe it. Only saw him last week in "The Heart of a Man". Will always remember him as "Flogger Hoskins" from Hut 29, Nether Hopping in "The Army Game".
R.I.P. Harry.
A sad loss - a great character. I treasure his performance in Sir Henry at Rawlinson End, particularly. He used to do a bit of double act with Kenny Lynch on kids TV in my youth - always a favourite. RIP, mate.
Very sad news, I liked him a lot, he was a very engaging character. R.I.P. Harry.
A very fine actor - will be missed
R.I.P Harry Fowler. I was reading only a few weeks ago about Him and Kenny Lynch's work together. Really enjoyed listening to his contributions on several programmes about Diana Dors. Aswell as his input on "Heroes of Comedy", several years ago.
Sad, he had an interesting face, happy looking sort of thing.
R.I.P. chap.
Very very sad news, an excellent character actor, only recently I watched him as Sam Weller in The Pickick Papersand I too can remember him working with Kenny Lynch.
R I P Harry.
I managed to hunt down a DVD of his 1955 film The Blue Peter last year after a long search. He was 28 then and still playing teenager Charlie Barton to Kieron Moore's Korean War POW Mike "Last Man Mike" Merriworth who was only two years older. It was written by Don Sharp, who we also lost last month.

Very sad. He always seemed so cheerful & what a career he had. I thought he was great & I too remember his work with
"Kipper" Lynch, especially the excellent childrens programme from the 1970's "Get This". I loved that show! R.I.P. Harry!!
I watched him recently in the Butcher's film, Stock Car, as a petty criminal. He was the best thing about it, as the American lead was extremely wooden. I shall have to watch Went the Day Well? and Hue and Cry again in the next few days.

One of Ealing Studios Greats...Hue & Cry plus Painted Boats...a great character. I remember him telling me that when times were hard, he and Peter Noble thought up 'The Good Restuarant Guide' for a newspaper...trouble was they gave such a terrific review for their local cafe, they couldn't get in after it was published!!! Look out for his little cameo at the end of 'I was Monty's Double'.
Film Man.
Here is Harry in Stock Car....
The 'American' lead is actually Canadian born actor/vocalist Paul Carpenter, a familiar face to viewers of ABC tv's Film Fanfare ....

Sad news. R.I.P. Harry Fowler
A real favourite of mine, from a schoolboy in Hue and Cry, Flogger Hoskins and all manner of Film and TV roles, usually playing a villain or spiv. He was always very good in everything he did.
He will be missed.
RIP
