No tributes for eighteen months, surprisingly - not even yours truly. More memories of this great character actor, please.

Tenniel Evans in 'The Hanged Man' (1975)

In the first episode, The Wheel of Fortune, he supplies passports for Colin Blakely, who has adopted a new identity:

"It doubles your chances of good fortune!"

Always a pleasure to see Tenniel

Apparently was a neighbour of Fanny Craddock. One day he caught a glimpse of her pantry (walk in food store for younger readers) and saw it was filled with nothing but boxes and boxes of cornflakes.

A screencap of Tenniel Evans as Hilton Cubitt in the episode The Dancing Men (1984) from the Sherlock Holmes Granada series, also featuring Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes.

According to his great friend Jon Pertwee, Tenniel Evans always corpsed when he heard a farting noise. As Tenniel was a lay preacher, Jon always wanted to sit in his church one day and just as Tenniel was about to deliver the sermon, deliver a big, long raspberry and then see what happened.
