Dominick Dunne, the American writer and journalist, who died on Wednesday aged 83, was the author of best-selling romans-a-clef about murder and won acclaim for his coverage of the trials of Claus von Bulow, William Kennedy Smith, the Menendez brothers, Phil Spector and, most famously, OJ Simpson.....



After arriving in Los Angeles in the late 1950s, he had led an A-list social life but was a B-list producer, making THE BOYS IN THE BAND (1970), THE PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK (1971) and the Elizabeth Taylor flop ASH WEDNESDAY (1973)......
