name='faginsgirl']I`m quite excited. I have got some part time work with an education agency working in a local nursery school.

A bit of extra cash and should be good education experience too.

    I start tomorrow.

    xx
Well done, Faginsgirl! I hope you enjoy it - if you love being around littlies, you will! My sister has been doing this for several years and loves it.

    Hi.

I have had an incredible day so far.

I have been to the local surgery. Had my legs washed by the nurses and my dressings changed. The nurses are very pleased with my progress. I am also showing signs of losing weight. This has put me in a good mood. I am now in the library using their computer service. I have seen some good things on the britmovie website. This has put me in a good mood. But just now the fire alarm went off. No-one however told the libraian that it was a test. Therefore there has been some confusion. So before I sign off and we are all evacuated, I will wish you all a HAPPY EASTER.

Happy Easter to you, too, Alan.

Pleased to hear you're doing well.

BTW, have any of your medical people mentioned that improving your circulation would help your ulcers to heal? If you can't walk around much, a back massager that you could put your feet on when you're sitting down is the way to go. I'm thinking of the Niagara Therapy back massager, which is fabulous but hellishly expensive. Pharmacies might sell something similar for a fraction of the cost.

    Hi all.

Just popped back on the library computer.

Thankyou for your comments. I did not think that I was going to get any. As for your advice Shirlgirl, the nurses are putting dressings on the legs after they wash them. These dressings are keeping the circulation going. They were prescribed by a dermatologist that I was sent to plus creams. The nurses seem to be pleased and surprised how quick at least the left leg is healing. The right one seems to be catching up. I am getting about ok. Thankyou for your advice, however. The main problem was that my legs below the knees had ulcers and were leaking something. It is quite a common problem I gather but takes awhile to get better.. It is cureable. I am seeing the dermatologist for a check in a fortnight's time. The complaint is veinous veins and is all connected with ecxma. The doctor advised me to lose weight. I also had a blood test and my sugar levels are below diabetes level. But still high. I think I have had a lucky escape.

I will be returning to britmovie after the holiday and hopefully a thinner me will continue to join in more forums. Well not that thin, still have a long way to go. But will get there.

    Alan French.
