From all reports it was a great show.

Reports are that the lads enjoyed doing the show so much that they are now planning more concerts in the new year.

Dave.
Some short footage already on Youtube

YouTube - Led Zeppelin "Stairway to Heaven"

Listening to reports on the radio, it seemed they we as good as ever. It does make me sick when I hear the likes of the so called celebraties who gained tickets to the gig. Even Jeremy b***** Clarkeson, got in, so there was never much hope of us genuine fans ever getting a ticket, especially after the so called fair Internet application method of registering, and names all going into 'a hat'. I never even managed to connect to the web site!

Fingers crossed that Zep will do a full tour in the near future. At least I was lucky to see them at Knebworth in '79.

Matthew Wright was crowing on this morning about not only having a wrist band to show he'd been at the gig, but also a backstage wristband. He was wearing both and blow me if Ed Vaizey (Tory MP) one of his guests wasn't at the gig as well, sat next to Kate Moss and he said that he had spotted a few other MP's in attendance.

I'd like to know just how many were there because of "who they are" and not, as Rennie points out, genuine fans.

I bet the "celebrities" names didn't go into a hat.

I thought that everybody was a "celebrity" nowadays
Many talentless nonentities (and I include MPs in that) seem to be able to get on TV regularly anyway

You should prove you are a fan by taking a vinyl lp as proof.

Plantey just hasn't got the range anymore, shame that it is....Pagey still has the licks, even if it costs him a little more concentration than it used to.
Oh well, the Floyd, The Zep, The Pistols, The Stranglers, The Police...nearly IT Bites & The Jam... Never no more the Clash. That would have been great. Joe Strummer, is it nearly 4yrs ago?
Elevator, going up!

Ah, It Bites. Now there's a band that deserved more recognition!

Great googlie mooglie.

I was absent from the Zep gig but I'd just like to boast that I saw The Police at Staples and McCartney at Amoeba records during the same week in LA last June.

I've also seen The Krankies at Cleckheaton Town Hall.

Jeremy Clarkson was noticeable by his absence.

I still think of Led Zeppelin as at the times I saw them live in concert in both Birmingham, England and Sydney, Australia.
Their music still holds a lot of power today. Obviously one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Yet seeing Jimmy Page with long white hair now and Bonham's son on drums it strikes home how many years have passed since those great heydays.

Still, The Song(s) Remains The Same.

Dave.
