Default Led Zeppelin To Reform

The word is out - rock legends Led Zeppelin say they will reunite for a one-off comeback concert in London at the O2 Arena on November 26th.

Tickets will cost 125 quid and will be available by ballot only. Fans can register for tickets at Welcome to Ahmet Tribute 1923 - 2006
The website crashed when news of the concert was released. Enquiries for tickets have come from right around the world.

The late John Bonham's son Jason will be the drummer for the concert.

The show will be a tribute to the late founder of Atlantic Records Ahmet Ertegun who signed Zeppelin to the label in 1968.

Should be a good one.

Dave.

Can anyone recall the L Z album which came out but wasn't a black vinyl, was I think blue or green. It was given away many years ago and is now I believe quite valuable.

regards

Tempted to buy a couple of tickets just to sell on, they'll soon be changing hands for silly money.

If you try and sell them via e-bay .... do you still have to word it as 'one envelope for sale, £250, contains two free tickets to the Led Zep concert' ....

What amuses me is that the pre-advertising (as with the recent Police re-form) always features the band 30 years ago in their heyday instead of the paunchy, wrinkled old geezers they are now.

Zep should be warned by The Stones and The Who: once they make their comeback, that's how they'll be remembered. That's the price you pay for digging your way out of the rock n roll cemetery of fame . . .

Default Giants of rock or Jurassic Park?

Well said Sippog. The only way is down when you visit the well once too often! In 2001 I went to see my heroes, Deep Purple, and Ian Gillan's voice, once a thing of power and beauty, could not even make it to the mike! The band thrashed around for all they were worth but it was a lifetime away from their glory days. Zep run the risk of unravelling the legend....

Go for it, you know it makes sense. If you have never seen the greatest band ever, here is your chance. Music is so dire now, this could be your last chance to see the legends play. I saw them at Knebworth in 79 and I did not walk out of there, I floated. It gets no better than this. Wish I could be there.

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west...................

Last year, Plant and Page played with Plant's large band - 2 other guitarists, 2 keyboardists - and they did drop-dead note-for-note recreations. I wonder if they'll use a band that size, or go back to the trio-plus-singer format?

Led Zeppelin To Reform...... !!!!

Phew! That's a relief!!........

For a minute there I was thinking you meant the boys were off to the barbers for a short-back-and-sides, with their smart, new, C&A suits reflecting from the toes of their well-polished Clarkes brogues...........

I read that initially Led Zep were asked to do just 30 minutes for the tribute concert.
It was the members of Zeppelin themselves who wanted to do a full concert.
I believe they have been rehearsing for some time and that the vibes between them are excellent. I do not think they would do this concert if they had any doubts regarding their performance.

They'll be pretty tight, they've been performing on and off together for years at different events.
