East European immigrants with nowhere to live have been camping in tents beside the River Lea in East London.
But wait, it gets worse.

Locals have revealed that the immigrants, mostly Poles and Romanians, have been slaughtering the swans in that area for food.
The royal swans are of course protected birds.
Piles of swan carcasses have been found in the area where the immigrants were living.
Police and RSPCA officers were called to the scene but the immigrants had fled before they arrived.

Has someone dug that story out of the archives again?
The Daily Hate Mail ran it last year (about September I think) as part of their campaign against all immigrants, particularly East Europeans. Of course the police and the RSPCA denied any involvement or being "called to the scene" and nobody was ever called to deal with the "piles of carcasses".

It belongs in the same file as stories about all local wildlife, including dogs and cats in many stories, disappearing whenever the fair is in town or whenever a new "ethnic" restaurant opens. There are examples of these stories going back to the dim and distant but whenever you ask for proof it's always strangely elusive. It's always just of the form "A bloke down the pub told my brother that his mate had seen ..."

I often go for walks along the river Lea and I have never seen anything going on like that or any heavy police presence - total rubbish!

How I used to love the taste of decent fish and chips in newspaper, always found the Telegraph to be really good.

But on a serious note now, I just got hold of a recent copy of the Daily Mail and wow life back there does not seem so good at all. Turning off street lights at night to save energy but forcing everyone to buy lights to light thier properties, I bet Texas and Homebase shares have rocketed, good thinking Mr Brown.

I for one know how dangerous it is for having no street lights, it's deadly. On coming car headlights that blind you mean you cannot see ahead of you, so you are more at risk of inkuring or killing someone, so are the government now putting the price of road accidents onto car owners as they do here in The Philippines? It's cheaper to put someone in hospital or kill them rather than have street lights on. Here the rule of thumb is: if you hit someone you will pay for all thier hospital bills, that could amount to thousands and thousands of pounds. But yet it's cheaper to kill them, just 300 pounds. A price on a life. How bad is that?

Burglars getting warnings for first offences. Here we shoot anyone tresspassing on our properties, no questions asked.

Wage increases to keep up with inflation....no chance. Who manages the governments inflation fugures....a two year old?

Immigration running rife.

PC over running.

Policing your own streets...too much time spent making tea and report writing.

I am so glad I moved away when I did. "No regrets no tears goodbye".

Anytime you are in my neck of the woods, look me up, you are always welcome.

Mabuhay!

My 19 year old son works with a lot of Poles, Hungarians, Latvians etc. Out of 34 people in his dept only 3 are Brits.

he says they're really nice people..............

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Default Missing the UK

When I worked out in The Third World for months on end I liked the hot climate and the culture of the countries I stayed in, but boy when I got home and stepped off that aircraft on a rainy, cold and windy December evening the smell of England was just fantastic!

Even after an hour or so of bloody annoying hold-ups when trying to perform the simple task of hiring a motor car from a large car hire company based at the airport, I was still grinning as I embarked on my 120 mile journey home. It was wet, dark and miserable but I had the windows open just to breathe in that English smell!

You just can't beat it and I'd rather fight to the death to preserve my country than abandon it to be ruined once and for all by a rather idiotic amateurish government, criminals, yobs, and a corrupt half-witted bunch of tossers called the EU!

"...the chairman of Littlewoods stores made a Keynote speech!"

I might agree with you, if any of it was true - but it's not, it's only as reported by the Daily Mail

As Steve says you really shouldn't believe anything you read in the Daily Mail (except possibly the date on the front cover).

I suspect that each edition is manufactured by using this headline generator and simply making the stories up...
