You think that a man would have enough trouble on his hands with ONE mother-in-law, wouldn't you - why on Earth would he want any more?

I watched a documentary last night "The seven Sins Of England". Members of

the public (after drama coaching apparently), reciting quotes from yesteryear

which more or less said people have been complaining about the same social

problems for hundreds of years. Binge drinking, violence, rudeness, bigotry &

general lack of decency. Real modern day footage of drunken yobs causing

trouble , one of the "commentators" ended up needing a cat scan after being

assaulted. It didn't paint a very nice picture at all of inner city England !

Originally shown on Channel 4, It could have been Sydney on a friday night !

Same crap everywhere!!

My mother-in-law is great! More than one of her would be OK by me.

Default Spot The Racist Toddler

This story just about sums up why people are leaving the UK in droves:

Toddlers who dislike spicy food racist, say report - Telegraph

It's either me or the rest of the country slowly going mad!

The recent high number of teenage stabbings in London has been getting big coverage over here.
I also hear that after the stabbing deaths of two French students the French media have now branded London a dangerous place to visit.

Dave.
I think Paris and Marseille have their fair share of street violence too. In the UK however you are less likely to be caught afterwards, so it sends a message out to violent thugs that they can do exactly as they please because even in the unlikely event that they'll be prosecuted, the punishment rarely fits the crime.

This was proved only the other day when two youths received very light sentences for hurling a concrete block from a bridge and killing a lorry driver. At the very least they should have been prosecuted for murder because there was no other intention in mind but to murder. Unfortunately the soft as shit CPS proceeded with a lesser manslaughter charge, and the horrible bastards will be back on the streets within months to carry on being horrible bastards.

As I've said before, mandatory sentences of a rigid set period should be enforced so the criminal knows that if he stabs someone he will get ten years, or murder is life i.e. never coming out, carry a gun fifteen years, use a gun - life.
It's so simple it may even work!

I think the police should be armed as with most EU police forces, the sight of a gun in a holster has a rather calming effect on people and you can see this when drunken yobs kick off in Spanish resorts, the police turn up and suddenly the hooligans start behaving themselves!

This was also the case in Moscow recently during the Champions League final when armed soldiers and police were present and the behaviour of the fans was exemplary. Compare this with the UEFA Cup Final in Manchester when there was a near riot by Rangers' fans and the police were powerless to control it, and the city centre was smashed to pieces and most of the perpetrators got away scot free.

It's also not fair on the police having to go in unarmed, one in Manchester was badly beaten and had his arm broken by the rampaging mob cowardly attacking him when he fell over. Had he been armed he, or his colleagues could have shot some of them before they could get near him. They didn't even use tear gas, rubber bullets or water cannon on the mob, methods commonly used in most other EU countries.

I thought that was a great piece of TV. It does show that there's nothing new - including people who will complain at every little thing
