Default Non delivery of items

After reading a post of someone persistently stating that films had not arrived I felt that I should share my experience.
I buy films from HMV, Play.com, Amazon and also rent dvd from WH Smith. Over the last 18 months, some items I ordered never arrived which I duly reported and was sent replacements.
I recently had a couple of items from a member of this group but they failed to arrive and when I contacted the member they sent me replacements.

My concern is that I do not wish to be branded as a bad member should I not receive anything from members of BritMovie. I know it has only happened once to me with someone from this group.

Thanks

Howse

I have had this problem too over the past weeks. Mrs Bat and I have both not received parcels and small packages on several occasions. Retail sellers are usually good about this and ebay sellers have been pretty good too. The local postman acknowldges this a problem nationwide and says that, in our area alone, at least four different courier services are sub-contracted to do deliveries on a regular basis. A case of too many cooks ... he says.

I have had a couple of problems with stuff being send between me and other members but these have all been sorted out in a friendly way. I am sure you will find it the same.

Bats.

I wish I had claws.

Even Marketplace sellers on Amazon are reliable about replacing non received items. And faulty items too.

The postal service has got rubbish to say the least. I have had more problems over the past few weeks more so than ever before, i have reported parcels on several occations to the PO and they are so slow in responding to any thing, i also need things through the post for my job and it has been a complete nightmare for some reason.

Have you noticed that missing post levels has risen in correlation with positive discrimination? Kleptomania is much more common in woman than it is in man so it makes you wonder...

Positive descrimination based on race or gender is not legal in the UK so therefore there would have to be no rise in missing post levels. I would not miss your posts.

Yes, but both positive and negative happen all the time... businesses are well practiced at running rings around legalities.

I think the trouble with the Postal service is more to do with the employment of Temp staff, reduced staffing levels and a run down of the level of respect for people's property in the service itself.

This is true of society in general - not just within the Royal Mail.

I would say that in the ten years I have lived at my present address, the postal service has declined by some 50%but of course I have to pay more in order to receive this reduced service, I am in a cynical mood tonight

Yet again i have to ring the PO tomorrow as i never received 3 parcels that were sent over 2 weeks ago, so its really getting annoying they should be paying my phone bill as i ring them more than anyone else to find out where my post has gone.

I always order my DVD`s from Play.com or HMV.com (whichever happens to be cheepest) and I must say that I have never had any problems with either of them (apart from a couple of `rattlers` which have been immediately replaced, no questions asked!). I do however have a big problem with the P.O. - the latest of course being the current strike - I have four DVD`s held up somewhere. I just know that there will be a problem with me recieving them..............I know it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
