In case you missed it, the resignation letter of Daily Star hack Richard Peppiatt is here.

Doesn't tell you anything you probably don't already know about the lying, racist rag, but it's rather wonderful to have it spelled out in vitriolic detail by an insider. Also, the smear response from the Star is grimly amusing.

surely if youre working for the daily star you know what to expect

its either going to be the love triangle of katie jordan /peter andrex /cage fighter man or shock horror ! immigrants will eat our children or a made up story of europe outlaws lotto scratch cards / cans of stella / pot noodles
anything that its target readership enjoys consuming
the odd paedo headline will grab their attention as well

maybe mr peppiat was in the wrong job
or perhaps its the guardian itself seeing an easy way to plump up its pages after hiring him with a story about how awful it all was at star towers

    more likely the latter

Every time I pass the Daily Star at the local display, it seems to have some bimbo's arse on the front page. The chances of any devout muslim being offended by whatever junk is written inside (they do have words I assume) seems minimal at least.

I would be more worried about Desmond's other title, that used to be a respectable newspaper - The Daily Express. It all makes the usual bete noir of the Grauniad, old Rupert the unbearable, seem positively desirable.

That's no way to talk about a respected media tycoon like Richard "Dirty Des" Desmond
And he's not always on the front page

He claims that he's not racist - because he used to publish "Asian Babes"

But really, anyone who ever works for or with him soon finds out what he's like. If this chap was willing to work for Desmond for a few years then he knew what was happening all along & was willing to do it and to take the filthy lucre.

Er, as he readily admits in his resignation letter.

why moan about it afterwards then if he was a willing participant ?
or are we all meant to be grateful for his seeing the light now he works for the guardian ?

i bet if the mail ,telegraph or sun etc etc waved enough money at him he'd jump ship again
no doubt with a story about what really goes on at the guardian

Are you confusing people who work for British newspapers with people who have moral principles?
