I reckon Trevor Brooking should run things until "Arry negotiates his price. I' d like to think that there would then be a trip to the knackers yard, followed by a long term plan to put together something substantial. Will it happen ? I very much doubt it, but without it it's going to be business as usual . Daniel Levy cannot be a happy camper right now !
Have the FA and the English Legal system been in cullusion.
My object all sublime
I shall achieve in time —
To let the punishment fit the crime —
The punishment fit the crime;
And make each prisoner pent
Unwillingly represent
A source of innocent merriment!
Of innocent merriment!
While Fabio may have been in breach of his contract, I feel sympathy toward him. Why didn't the F.A discuss the situation about the Captaincy before removing John Terry's armband, that made it very difficult for him to continue as Manager. I also applaud him for standing up for Terry, when many in the Country, inculding the media, agreed with the F.A's decision. I remember reading that in 1966 World Cup the F.A wanted Alf Ramsey to drop Nobby Stiles after he made a harsh tackle. Ramsay's response was if Stiles was dropped, he'd resign as Manager. As we all know England won the World Cup with Stiles playing an important role
I also think the F.A were lucky, because John Terry could easily have told them he was unavailable for anymore England matches on principle. As a Scot I remember Duncan Fergurson telling the S.F.A where to stick it, because they enforced a ban on him, even though he'd served a jail term for head butting an opponent when playing for Rangers

I remember that tackle he nearly cut this French player in half and he was stretchered off. There was a big clamour in the press and from some members of the FA to drop Styles and Ramsey was forced to ask him if he meant to injure the player, Styles told him it was mistimed and Ramsey gave the FA assurances that it wouldn,t happen again and that he believed Styles' story.
Thank heavens Crapello has finally gone but it should have been after that humiliating World Cup exit. Thanks to that expert Alan Shearer predicting we have little chance of winning Euro 2012, always a master of the bleeding obvious is Alan as those who suffer him on MoTD already know of course.
I reckon Fabio had his suitcase packed and waiting by the door. The suitcase by the way would be full of money !
I like my football with a bit of an edge but the Man Utd/Liverpool clashes are just vile. Not helped by fans/players or management. What Suarez did yesterday was, at best, obnoxious. Evra at the end was just plain stupid. Give them both a ban.
Re Suarez and Evra. Wouldn't it have been more sensible to have not allowed either player to play in this fixture ?. This could have been arranged with an informal meeting between Ferguson and Dalglish and the whole situation would have been nipped in the bud.
I was a season ticket holder at Anfield for nearly 20 years, during the end of that period the atmosphere did seem to change, you could sense it and the pleasure of watching the Man U games diminished greatly. One time Beckham played exceptionally and scored a wonderful goal, at the final whistle Utd had won and he found himself close to the touch line and Liverpool supporters, everyone applauded him and he returned the compliment, one bloke who we had never seen before, turned to us and shouted "why are you f******g clapping that s**te for?". I thought to myself well if you don't know now mate you never will.
On the Suarez incident it appears that Suarez kept his hand held out for a handshake but Evra's hand was slow to take it and Suarez didn't break step so continued on, Evra then makes a big thing about it, once again making sure he appears the innocent party in all of this.
If they had shaken hands would Ferdinand have done so as well?
It seems to me Evra is making fools of a lot of people.
I hope you're not taking the Mikado.
A more humane Mikado never
Did in Britmovie exist,
To nobody second,
I'm certainly reckoned
A true philanthropist.
It is my very humane endeavour
To make, to some extent,
Each evil liver
A running river
Of harmless merriment.

That's what I thought when I first saw it. If Evra had raised his hand it would have met the Suarez hand and a handshake would have been made. Suarez simply carried on walking while Evra had a hissy fit. It also looked as if Ferdinand was the only ManUSA player who didn't shake the Suarez hand. Watching Evra and the rest of the ManUSA idiots (especially drug cheat Rio) winding up the fans at the end of the match made me think, ''are they any less of a 'disgrace' than Suarez?'' I don't think so. No one comes out of this mess with any credit and the same goes for the JT debacle.
Hasn't Suarez already issued a statement saying he was wrong not to shake Evra's hand, or am I wrong (it happens regularly) ?
