No, I have definately seen documentaries where people have `claimed` to have had the chips, and have `claimed` that they have turned up on x rays.
They say it may have even happened to Napoleon!

Hi,
One of the things that I cannot make up my mind about on this subject is this. Many people claim that they have been abducted by aliens. This may well be true. But in some cases, they do not remember until they are examined by someone who is good at hypnotism. And I have often wondered that has the hypnotistic process discovered a sensational truth? Or has the hypnotist made the person believe that they have been abducted? In which case the mere earthling is convinced and sincere when they reveal their alien experience. Whether it be true or not true.

Having seen UFO's I believe in them although I have doubts about 99% of abduction cases to be honest.
Re: hypnotism, when nursing I sat in on several Abreaction therapy sessions which were remarkable. Either the patients deserved Oscars or they relived experiences 'first hand' again. I left the sessions really quite shocked at what I saw, amazing.
There is of course False memory syndrome etc which I've no doubt occurs from time to time although I believe what I saw to be very real.
I have difficulty in believing in abduction stories - even in cases like the Betty and Barney Hill story - though I admit to find them interesting to read, wondering what other factors may have been involved, especially where substances are involved.
There is only one other possibility I can think of but that's for an off-forum discussion.![]()
Hi,
Yes. I have seen at least 3 UFO's between 1956 and 2009. Extra terrastrial or terrestrial? Who can say? But sadly, although I find abduction stories interesting, there is that thing at the back of my mind, some are revealed as from sitting in a hypnotist's chair. I am not saying that this may result in the truth being revealed. But it could also mean that the power of hypnosis could also be used to convince the recipient, that they have had an abduction experience. This is not fair on the recipient or on people who are genuinely investigating the subject, in view of seeking out the true facts. Be they rational or irrational. Surely, this is an important subject? So we must deal in facts and not fakery.

Two very interesting posts Alan, i think that most UFO abduction stories are genuine, one story of UFO abduction that i have always believed is genuine is the case of Police Constable Alan Godfrey which occurred in the West Yorkshire Town of Todmorden on November 28th 1980, you can read about the Alan Godfrey UFO abduction story via the link that i provided in post 94 on this Thread.

My problem with abduction stories is when I read that something like 10% (more?) of Americans think they have been...pushing it a bit. Same as those who've been 'probed' well in all honesty I believe that if a race has the technology to cover ground faster than light can they would have 3D imaging and would not need to probe the lower regions; unless of course they were trying to be friendly in their own way
I've doubt their have been forth kind encounters but they can get lost in all the other tales.
Why do you find it so hard to let people have their beliefs? Do you need to pretty much constantly ridicule people who don't live on 'Steve's World'. If all you are capable of is taking the pee, why not stay quiet?
112 thanks in 23.5 thousand posts? Wow, your popular lol![]()
