Will they now arrest his Dog?
The only thing that I feel sorry for him for, is the intollerable ammount of time it takes for these matters to come to court.

Poor Harry.
He claims he writes "like a toddler" and "struggles with literacy".
That would explain why he wasn't fazed by a cheque for £189,000 arriving into his dog's bank account.
Wonder what bank it was paid into - "Barkleys"?
What I would like to ask him is if there was nothing underhand going on then why travel to Monaco to open a bank account for that money? If I wanted to open a bank account I wouldn't go abroad to do it. What can be the motive for travelling abroad to open a bank account? A bank account that didn't carry Mr. Redknapp's name.
Because of what he said, he didn't play the game by the rules.
From when Morons ruled the earth.... 2006:
A test case in court, where Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs claims that a British television presenter couple have wrongly written off their agents' fees as a business expense, could set a legal precedent for footballers and other celebrities. And pressure is mounting on Britain's finance minister Gordon Brown to stop England's high-earning footballers exploiting gaps in the tax system's defence. "I'd like to see the players act patriotically when it comes to resisting the temptation to manipulate tax loopholes," opposition Liberal Democrat MP Norman Lamb told The Observer newspaper. "It's a bit of a farce when players are even able to avoid tax on their jewellery. It may be legal but to me it smacks of one rule for the very rich and another for everyone else.
England's soccer stars able to nutmeg the taxman
"I will be writing to Gordon Brown and to the Revenue asking what can be done about it.".......................![]()
Looks like the prosecutions case went to the dogs !!
Isn't the classic quote on Monaco "A sunny place for shady people" ?

One good thing though is that after our ritual footie humiliation this summer, it will only be the England captain still up before the beak, and not the manager as well........
You can open an account in a company name in any country you want if you fulfil that country's legal requirements, and you can call the company anything you like too, even after your dog if you want to, and if you are using the company to receive legitimate money to make legitimate investments you aren't doing anything wrong.....a few years ago I had a run in with the VAT man and to my horror what I learned from that experience was that as far as revenue and customs are concerned, anyone they set their sights on is guilty until proven innocent.

The old "Ken Dodd Defence" triumphs again!![]()
There will be a lot of doggie accounts being opened after this verdict
Harry will be singing Acapello any time soon it seems....... Perfect timing.
Apparently a jury decided he was innocent. British justice - doncha luv it?
If 'innocent' means 'corrupt attention seeking frankenstein faced cockshine with no idea who his team is signing on the last minute of transfer deadline day but gives interviews only with his car window half down' then I agree with the verdict! How I hope that either Redknapp or Hodgson gets the England job so I can gloat over how I have always said that todays English managers are sheeeee-iiiittttteeee!
Knowing the F.A. it's quite likely we'll end up with a shi'ite in charge.........
I cannot quite see why Mad Dog Pearce shouldn't be given the job, and the chance. If Liverpool had been operated the way modern footie management is run nowadays, we'd never have had a Bob Paisley or a Joe Fagan. Pearce has been a backroom boy for so long he's in danger of drawing his pension before he ever draws a crowd. Allowing for the celebrity/money culture of modern football I'm not holding my breath that we'll get anything other than another over-paid, over-rated manager......... and over-egged.....
Over me 'ead son.....![]()
I Don't agree with the Liverpool comparison with Engurland-the appointments of Houllier and Benitez were an understandable reaction to the tenures of Souness and Evans (both had potential champions yet either tried to change things too much or were too soft) Hodgson at Liverpool proved that Newcastle fans weren't being wankers with Allardyce but that the modern English manager can only succeed with an underdog or should stick to sunday league with regards to their tactical awareness.
I guess in the Premier League at least, there is no point in having an English manager, seeing as none of the players are English, and many don't even speak the language. Maybe if England were *underdogs* again, instead of being proclaimed world-beaters every tournament, just before all their meta-tarsals break and their ham-and-ankle-strings go snippysnap, we might actually get a team result like the one Venables [almost] achieved back before all these more recent years of hurt.......

It's always amazed me how the media always backs the national team in qualifying rounds with the intention of going in for the kill during the tournaments-surely the newspaper sales in victory would surpass the negative 'oh wells'? (reserved for Germany confrontations-damn Basil Fawlty!)
That said,I will be ardently and audibly supporting every one of Englands opponents this summer and evermore.
