On many forums I've been on I've started threads asking people to explain their avatars. Quite often I'll see one I recognize and I'm never sure from where.
Mine is a shot of Trevor Howard and Maria Schell from The Heart of the Matter, the 1953 adaptation of the Graham Greene novel. How about you? |

Maxwell Reed. Who he? He was the star of several excellent British 'B' thrillers of the late 40s and early 50s. He also appeared in secondary roles in some good 'A' pictures as well. He's my favourite British actor and my avatar is the best portrait photo him I have seen.
Only two films left to complete my collection ..... Bats. |

And, unbelievably, she looks even better in my profile photograph that was taken less than a fortnight ago. ![]()

Mine is our late and much beloved cat, Mr Steed (aka The Stig - from Stig of the Dump when he used to go mousing at the bottom of the garden...)

I guess I chose Sid James because I associate him with laughter.......and after the trying days at work I've had recently a laugh is a much needed tonic!
