Lyme Regis - the "pearl of Dorset" - I know it so well, and never tire of being there. The light somehow has a special quality. This aerial picture shows the famous Cobb - of French Lieutenant's Woman fame....

More about Lyme at Lyme Regis

If you've never been there, you really should!

Quite right, CW.

This shows "Granny's Teeth" on the landward side of the Cobb, down which Louisa Musgrove falls when trying to jump into Captain Wentworth's arms

I find that scene quite sad - that Louisa gets so excited about jumping down some steps that she does it over and over again. However hot Captain Wentworth might be (very, when he's Ciaran Hinds!), it's not much of a life when jumping off a step is the most exciting thing that happens to you all week.

True, but she is in Dorset. You have to take your pleasures where you can

It's not bad
But all the other ones listed at the bottom of that page under "List of Anglican Cathedrals in the United Kingdom and Ireland" are pretty good as well.

There are even some other nice and interesting places of worship in the UK, like the Catholic Cathedrals, Mosques, Gurudwaras, Synagogues and the rest. Although I don't follow any particular faith myself I'm always interested in what drives those that do.
