I think Dremble was being a cheeky rude boy! "Finbarr Saunders and his double entendres" is a character from Viz comic who as his name suggests communicates in double entendres. At least I think thats what he meant!

Do they still have those mad turkeys (one is called Cranberry) that chase the visitors?

Thanks for all these great links Mark.

Speaking as someone who has chosen to leave the U.K. I have to say that many, many things I do not miss (weather and traffic being just two). BUT I miss a good country pub on a summer's day - lunchtime- beer garden - a full pint of real ale- blue cheese ploughman's = Heaven.

The day I went Mother Shipton's (this was 20 years ago nearly) the man selling tickets looked strikingly like Paul Daniels. Maybe slightly older and less cheery (!).

I then found out that old "That's Magic" owned the place or something.

Could it have been a brother or other relative that the magnaminous one had allowed to work for him?

Today....a decent cooked breakfast, shopping at the Slow Food Market for excellent cheeses and meats....and back to my local for two pints of a delicious dark Mild Ale over the Sunday paper, all in the company of like-minded people....
Sometimes, heaven is other people too.....
