As an Australian who spent 6 happy years living in Britain (and who shall return again some day soon to stay) I have to say the things I LOVE about Britiain are:

The delicious men
The humour
The theatre (when it isn't over-run with Americans proving they are ak-tors)
The music
The tradition
The history
The style
The charm
The friendliness
The williness to embrace the eccentric

And above all the Stiff Upper Lipedness in a crisis.

The love of cats is a distinct bonus - I adore them too!

Well, of course you are a handsome fellow, Batman.

But I was thinking more along the lines of:

Even though he has a bit of a Jason King thing going on here.

Or:

Or even:

If he's going begging.

But especially:

Pass the smelling salts!

I think we Britons are a nation of pet lovers - from the tiniest hamster to the giant dray horse, we have an innate affection for them all.

So are elder abuse, spousal abuse and child abuse. It's always been there, it's just that the population is bigger and records are kept more thoroughly.

Afternoon tea.

Especially a Devonshire Tea.

You just cannot beat it.
