Must agree with Penfold on this.
Whatever you feel about the information and mis-information that has come out about this family the really disturbing part is how easily we as a group are manipulated into a shallow mob mentality and feel we have a right to trash all involved like a cheap spectator sport.
It leaves a bad taste.

I for one at least DO NOT feel superior and HAVE NOT observed this situation or the family (or any one else you have mentioned) as a spectator sport! That wasn`t my intention when I posted.

I always enjoy your posts and I wasn't suggesting that you (or any one person in particular) felt superior - that's why I said we "as a group"; but you must admit that from reading the previous trail of posts alone it brings out something judgemental and ugly in people. I tire of some people's tendency to become media muppets and join in the mud-slinging. It's there and we are so easily led. I stand by what I said.

I agree Sarah, Shannon has done nothing wrong, all this publicity must be very frightening for her........she'd be better if with Foster Parents for now, I know of several Children who have been placed with Foster Parents, and they're thriving being in a much more stable environment......

whilst im obviously the villain on this thread for having judgmental views ,ive heard no one mention the fact that there is 7 children now in care homes ,probably seperate ones at that ,the adults in this sorry mess are responsible and are capable [ i hope ] of rational thought and know the difference between right and wrong and yes my bleeding heart / gaurdian reading chums, i have no sympathy for them whatsoever,i do have sympathy for the kids however ,the whole sink estate /shameless / welfare dependant culture cant be swept under the carpet forever ,because it one day affects us all whether we like it or not

Its sad to think that yet again more children are being separated from their parents in this situation yes maybe she should have been but it all leads somewhere Why?why did she do it to her daughter, why did she feel the need to do it and why was she let have 7 children to 5 different fathers when it all seems to point to she couldn't cope and obviously had psychiatric problems when she was pushed to these extremes. Someone needs to sit down and look at the bigger picture here this lady need help and support and it should be there for her and in the mean time her children should be put in temporary foster care and she should have visitation rights supervised of course after all children need to see their parents no matter how bad they are at being parents. The little girl is the one suffering in all of this more so than her mother, lets hope they all get the support they need. As for the so called step father lets hope this lady opens her eyes to this man and sees what he is downloading child pornography is disgusting and any man that does this should be locked up and the key thrown away.
