Default Amazon

Is Amazon prone to sellers selling Pirate copies of DVD's etc ?

Unlike Ebay which is prone to this illegal activity.

Anyone had any bad experiences at all that they could share with us on here ?

I doubt if there are that many sellers making a living off pirate dvds on Amazon since Amazon are much more prone to throwing off bad sellers than eBay is. They offer no questions asked refunds on Marketplace purchases but no doubt keep records of these (I recently got sent the wrong tape, had no response to my emails, got a refund - as had quite a few others - and two weeks later the seller wasn't listed). I've never heard of anyone being sent a copy rather than a proper dvd from Amazon Marketplace but I'm sure it happens, just not as much as on Amazon

I've just asked for advice about the best place to buy old English films, I've only been buying since last year but have (so far) always bought from Amazon and so far, no complaints. I find Amazon to be reliable and quick but there must be other places to buy old films from?

I use play.com a lot ,they tend to be cheapest due to offering free postage, and I have never had a problem

If you receive a pirate DVD/CD/tape from an Amazon seller, Amazon will refund the amount you paid ...
