Post Paul Gascoigne

Apparently Mike Tyson has offered to give Paul Gascoigne counselling!!

Tyson has speaking engagements in may, including one in Gateshead.

It all helps i suppose!!

Default Tyson speaks

Yeah, apparently Tyson will open the lecture by saying "Lend me your ears".
At which point everyone bolts for the door!

I hope Tyson brings a translator with him, those wonderful Geordie accents can be a bit heavy on us, but on a yank.

And as for him giving him councelling. How many women has he beaten up or worse? PG would do better by going to OJ Simpson.

I like Gazza, frail, imperfect in his personality, aren't we all to some degree? But THAT goal against the Jocks.......

I hope he gets his life sorted. He's always seemed to me to be alone in a storm. When he was 'up' everyone wanted him, when he was in trouble everyone ran to the tabloids.

Shame on them.

He joins a long list of other 'fallen' stars whose 'friends' disappear when the gravy train stops. I believe 'Five Bellies' is still around though.

Gary Mabbutt has stuck by him.

Anyone know how he's doing?

The last I heard, his ex-wife and adopted daughter were both sniffing around him - now that the papparazzi are following him everywhere.......or perhaps that's just me being cynical again.

I used to love Gary Mabbutt; he's cute.

Default Paul Gascoigne Biopic

I've heard that they're thinking of revamping a famous Evelyn Waugh story featuring a priveleged young man with more money than you could shake a stick at, who spent the best years of his young life in a drunken state warding off his childhood demons, completely out of control and with so-called friends constantly sponging off his wealth. It's to be called Gateshead Revisited.

personally,i used to see gazza as a spoilt kid who's behaviour was put up with because he was famous and had money.
now i see him as a spoilt kid who can't get his own way because he's no longer a celebrity, has spend all his money and throws tantrums of despair as the only means to get the attention he still craves.

Doesn't Gazza suffer with bi-polar disorder or something like that?
