It has just been announced over here that Manfred Mann, with 5 original members including singer Paul Jones, and the Spencer Davis Group will be touring Oz together later this year.

Talk about blasts from the past.

I saw them with Alex in the 70s and without him a few years ago - both brilliant .... NEXT!

Beach Boys I had tickets for a gig in at Carfiff Castle in the late seventies, can't remember the reason for their cancelation.

Wish I had seen the Beatles and the Band. Anyone interested in "The Band." should check out the Robbie Robertson film Directed by Scorsese. I stumbled upon it on Sky Arts the other week. Bound to be on again.

I presume you mean The Last Waltz (1978) which is (IMHO) one of the best films of a live concert I've ever seen. Great interviews with The Band as well.
