I think Wales has a patron Saint who is actually from Wales, (St David) Mr Crook could probably confirm that. Scotland's St Andrew was allegedly a fisherman from Galilee, now part of Israel.

Saint David was from Wales.

Saint David - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Saint George was a hero of the crusades. We share him with the Canadians, the Russians and the Palestinians.

Saint Andrew was not a Scot.

Interesting to note that Ravenglass is the only coastal town in the Lake District!

Typical bloody forum!
Instead of celebrating our English Patron Saint's Day, we instead get into an argument about it.

And what's all this about me having me leg off?
