Cheers Bats
Nils was a brilliant session guitarist and an original member of Springsteen's East Street Band.
I believe he also played with Neil Young's Band Crazy Horse.
On the strength of his appearance on TOGWT I went out the following day to buy
his album Cry Tough-1976 I think.

Oh and of course probably THE most memorable rock ballad of the seventies,
'You ain't seen nothing yet' By BTO.

But really, being seventies monsters we are ,there are so many songs which invoke wonderful memories of lost youth.
I'm going to cry man, I may be some time..................

Nils has been in and out of the E-Street band for years ..... he and Neil Young have toured together several times and played on each others albums.

Re 'Cry Tough' I did exactly the same!

Gazza, maybe it`s a different road, but I was also in to all the acts you mentioned. I think the Whistle Test with Sir `Whispering` Bob gave you such an eclectic mix; that you couldn`t help but appreciate a wide mix of styles; it certainly did with me anyway. speaking of acts mentioned; saw Framptons Camel at an all nighter in Leeds once, also on the same bill Roxy Music, Vinegar Joe with Robert Palmer & Elkie Brooks at her raucous best, a very early pre clown days Leo Sayer and a few more. Can I also put a word in for Family with Roger Chapman & `Charlie` Witney, a very undervalued group in my opinion. Not got the hang of doing a link from Youtube; but what about Bob & the Wailers doing `Concrete Jungle` or that weird mix of glam meets early punk forerunners The New York Dolls with `Jet Boy` or `Looking for a Kiss` See what I mean about a musical melange

Great track but IMHO not as good as DAYWD. It lacks that anthemic 'up yours' feel.

Sad to read that Bruce Springsteen and the The East Street Band's keyboard player and accordianist Danny Federici died on the 17th April of skin cancer.

RIP

Freddy

I didn`t think Eno was in King Crimson, I know he did some later stuff with Robert Fripp; and Pete Sinfield produced some early Roxy; but thought that was as far as the connection went, apologies to Dave Brent if I`m wrong. Speaking of King Crimson & Pete Sinfield, did anyone buy Pete Sinfield`s Still album, I did along with a book of his poetry & lyrics ( still got it about somewhere ) bit of an acquired taste but I was willing to give anything a chance in those days, this would be around 73-74.

You are right of course Brigger.
I should have written Fripp's King Crimson.
King Crimson often used to have guest musicians playing with them and I once saw them in concert in the UK with Eno on the keyboards. That was what I had in mind when I mentioned Eno.. As you correctly say though, he was not a full time member of the band.

Cheers

Dave.
