Default Golders Green Cemetery

Apart from old films, I love graveyards, morbid to some, but the history in these places is so close and interesting , Ive been checking out Golders Green and amazed at the amount of old stars buried or have remains in there. IM also interested in old music hall stars .so plenty in there.

Love it Steve, found it by accident while reading about Jeff Chandler and how he died. some lovely messages left for the stars, also found out a bit about Errol Flynn from his family ,seems his last wife Patrice Wymore was so angry as hed left her and daughter Arnella in Jamaica to go off with his 16 year old , that she refused to give him a stone with his name but his daughters made sure he got on some time later, a very sad family, with his son then daughter dying young. thanks Steve.

Bunhill Fields in the City and Abney Park in Stoke Newington are also wonderful examples of London's necropolitan history...

Me also Donna!........When I can and try and visit the graves/ memorials of singers/actors I was, and am still a fan of, a few weeks ago I visted Hattie Jacques former home, and would have gone to Putney Vale Crematorium as well, but I had the impression there was no memorial there, as a pic of where Hattie's ashes were scattered is at 'Findagrave' under a Tree.

I intend to visit Golders Green crematorium when time allows, I know two of my favourites have their ashes scattered there, Contralto Kathleen Ferrier, and Joyce Grenfell

I've visited Kay Kendall's grave at Hampstead also, a beautiful Jade green stone she has, as beffits a beautiful Lady in everyway

I like how at Findagrave 'Cyberflowers' and a message can left by we fans for our favourites, unfortunately no one can leave anything for Joan Crawford due to 'abuse'........some people have no respect

Although not an actress, but has appeared in a 'Britmovie' (All over a town) several of we Dusty Springfield fans met a Henley a couple of weeks ago to pay our respects at Dusty's memorial stone, the next day we had a tribute day for her, here's a couple of pics........

Default Sean Flynn 'The Son of Captain Blood'

Donna, in case you didn't know The Clash recorded a song about Erroll's son Sean titled "Sean Flynn" it's on "Combat Rock". Sean even appeared in a film "The Son of Captain Blood".

seems strange living so close to graves though. have only seen that once in Kirriemuir , theres an old church there with graves on the walls of the houses, very weird, we went to take photos of GM Barries House and grave in the big graveyard there. and looked in the churchyard too.
