Default kai Ora

remember the Kai Ora wee cartons of orange with the metal top that you slid off, think it was the only juice they sold in ABC cinemas, I used to take Sherbert Lemons sweets in as they lasted longer, for the Minors on a Saturday morning, and it was always Orange Maid ices they sold. cant remember anything else except choc ices.

I misunderstood what you meant when you said "wee cartons".
I thought maybe they were for use in emergencies during epic films

I do remember the Kia-ora cartons Donna, as I recall there was a pic of a smiling 'Orange face' on it, I also recall the pale blue Milk-vending machines on the street, I can see the 'Milk' logo now!

This remind me of a small cinema we visited in Croatia some years ago. We went in about 15 minutes before the programme with not one person there. We thought the business would be terrible but two minutes before the show the cinema was packed and at the end they all went out just as quickly (terrible Roman Italian film)

I like your style of writing,Donna. It reminds me of reading Oor Willie and The Broons in The Sunday Post, except I can understand you.

ICI had a subsidary firm called Kia Ora,which was based in Hardwick,Stockton. I don't think it made orange juice, though.
