no I like some american words but cant stand the Vertically challenged or Follicaly challenged much, that grates on my nerves.

I have absolutely no idea if it is American, but one of my very favourite expressions has to be: "cerebrally challenged".

We don't (except in sitcoms)!

And don't you start either!

I hate "raincheck". It's never caught on in Oz, and yet the Target and K-Mart junk mail brochures always have at the foot of every page...

"No rainchecks apply on all items and offers on these pages."

Shocking grammar as well! Should be...

"No rainchecks on any items or offers on these pages."

Or "lay-by" instead of "rainchecks".... if that's what it means - most Australians wouldn't have a clue.
