The writings of Nostradamus are very interesting and informative if you are interested in history because that is what his writings are based on. He always wrote in "quatrains"( in French of course) which is a poem or a stanza within a poem that consists always of four lines, a very popular style of writing in Europe at the time. Nostradamus always maintained that he was not a prophet, he is one of the most misinterpreted and mis-translated writers ever! I would say his writings are not rubbish, they are actually quite interesting taken in the context of the time, what is rubbish is the stuff attributed to him over the years by other people, and claims by sensationalist writers and translators that he has somehow predicted world events of the 20th Century.....now that is nonsense and Nostradamus if he was alive would probably agree!

I like the one where some bloke did wordsearch with the hebrew bible and came up with some well-weird hidden messages........................
Computers Find Encoded Messages in Bible I was thinking of trying it with Barbara Cartland....... or J.T. Edson - now there was a writer!

It is complete rubbish.
The most laughable part is that its "interpreters", from god knows where, say that his constant mention of "Hister" is a reference to you know who. I think it's time to listen to a little Strauss who at least knew what he was writing music about. Last edited by rskershaw; 13-05-2008 at 03:01 AM.. |

Actually Hollywood was going to make a block buster of his life but then someone studied his 'century's' more closely and one said that any feature film would lose millions
