Wasn't 'Sound of Music' Movie soundtrack the best selling album of the 60's ?, funnily enough a few months ago I purchased this on CD for two quid from a Charity Shop and I love it!

Well after a week which was already long and hard by just Wednesday evening, it was quite a day for Mrs. Smudge and me...

As a result of that very first warning letter some years ago we...

PAID OFF THE MORTGAGE !!!

Some years in advance too - so that old Endowment warning was quite a spur.

it's a strange feeling to know that probably the biggest debt you'll ever have is now history. I think I need a lie down...

Congrats indeed Mr & Mrs Smudge

Although with the way house prices have risen over the last 25 years it might not be the biggest debt you'll ever have. I recently took out an unsecured loan with my bank - and that was bigger than my original mortgage! But whereas that mortgage felt like a huge amount and took 25 years to pay off, this loan doesn't and I'll probably pay it off in about 5 years

Think you need a word with your Quizmaster Marky!

Bridge Over Troubled Water wasn't released until 1970! And Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band sold more.

Cheers All !

All I can say is it'll have to be a very special house indeed to get us on that particular merry-go-round again. We'll stick with (as Bats said) our house for now...
