The building is like Hogwarts when you get inside - wonderful Victorian design. I'd be helping people with research instead of dealing with noisy kids and druggie yobs, and I could get the bus to work instead of constantly feeding the car.

The best bit is that I could be doing movie and TV research every lunchtime!

Ooh, I loved that building when I lived in Leeds. Good luck!

I have just applied for a job as a Special Educational Needs Caseworker with the local council. I probably haven't got a cat in hell's chance of getting it, but if you don't try you'll never know.
I would love a job that would take me to the countryside, such as getting paid to go walking and taking photos with some written notes.
I'm off out!

Absolutely Bats!.......it's better to have and tried and failed than to have never tried at all, I wish you every luck in your forthcoming interview

It's not the best Job in the World but I quite enjoy my Job as a Delivery person delivering Parcels,Flatpacks, etc; to Customers, most of whom I have a brief bit of banter with, I've generally had driving Jobs in Adult life but this is the longest I've been with one Company, 15 years!........It gives me a sense of freedom and independance which is what I always craved, no wonder I hated School!!

It's a beautiful sunny day here in the Shires and the only sound I can hear is the birds singing. I only wish some would seize the opportunity to bask in the English countryside rather than sitting behind a keyboard whinging about it.

And my Tesco dvd is delayed again!

For the last few mornings I've been getting up hideously early and going to my local lido for a swim before work. The water is surprisingly warm (well, not when you first get in, obviously!) and there's something rather magical about being one of about 6 people pootling up and down in a pool the size of a football pitch. Then you have breakfast while people-watching and sunning yourself - it's like a little Mediterranean holiday to start the day.

Crikey you're a brave soul. Are there many others present early in the morning or do you virtually have the pool to yourself?

It's really not that bad - I'm not one of those people who swim all-year round (the penguins tend to get in the way!). Basically if it's hot enough to sleep without a duvet (as it's been for the last few days) then the water will be fine (once you've swum half a length!). You do get scary triathlon people in wetsuits but I'm not in their league... But the pool is so big that there's no lane-fighting.

It still takes motivation, I'm jealous. I used to swim every weekday before
work , theres an olympic size pool within 5 mins walking distance from my place.
I'm such a lazy bugger these days. Maybe you can be my inspiration Cap'n!

I have never been one for swimming. With my job including working evenings, getting up early on a morning is a rarity (apart from Thursday and Fridays when I am seeing in deliveries and line cleaning). If I was an early bird,I think an hour's walking would do me.
