Where did you get the window boxes from Gazza?
I ask as I ordered some from a company three weeks ago and they have recently informed me they are out of stock and expect more in 4-6 weeks, just in time for Autumn!

And what's all this about me having me leg off?

Sunday was good -= a nice early morning drive into Wales with virtually no-one else on the road. Across the mountains to Ffestiniog (glorious), then drop down into Portmadoc.

Spooners cafe/bar on the railway station (Ffestiniog line) for breakfast. Nice staff, great food and good value. Eat as we look out on the station and surrounding views. Then for some calorie burning, it's along the Cob and over the hill to Portmeirion. A nice walk, with nobody but the sheep for company.

A freebie into The Village and an amazing day. At present most of the rhododendrons are in bloom and some beautiful scented ones were just wafting their perfume across the whole of the village. Bright sunshine, a few cotton wool clouds in the sky and just sitting in the village centre. Heaven!

The woods are magnificent with the flowers in bloom and we sit awhile just watching the fish in the pools...

A walk on the beach and round the shops - with the obligatory ice-cream - then it's back over the hill into Portmadoc. At the end of the walk we reward ourselves in Spooners bar with a nice cold beer.

A potter round town, picking up a few bits and pieces then it's off home via Blaenau Ffestining and our 'guilty pleasure' - a take away veggie burger from the local kebab house.

The drive home is pleasant, then it's feet up, a nice cuppa, THE PRISONER on DVD and Zzzz halfway through...

Smudge

Welcome to my house. Enter freely, and of your own will...

Thank you, John.
My late father was quite a talented artist, but I can't draw or paint to save my life!
I hope you can find a way to post some of your artwork - we'd love to see it.

Thank you too, donna.

I've had mine for years rsker, my old dad made them up for me. I also use these metal ones from John Lewis:

John Lewis planters

For the balcony I use those coat-hanger type affairs that hook onto the railing and hold pots - swear by them, you can change stuff really easy.

I was out in the garden watching the wife do a bit of digging..
I keep saying to her she'll have to work a bit harder if we're to get the swimming pool finished in time for the summer...

Aitch,
