Lay Me Low - The Albion Band, John Tams vocal - an old Quaker hymn IIRC...and keep The Home Fires Burning; just so redolent of the losses of WW1 and since.

Bit of a Bay Window, what??

All the songs in this years Eurovision song contest.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Folks Who Live on the Hill brilliant, as you say that trumpet intro, a couple of other tracks by Peggy that provoke strong emotions, are, her version of Leiber and Stollers "Is That All There Is." and "Sing a Rainbow." from the movie ."Pete kellys Blues."

A couple of tracks that I should have mentioned are, "First Of May." by The Bee Gees, "My Cup Runneth Over." either by Perry Como or Bing Crosby, "True Love Goes on and On," by Burl Ives, " "A Little Bitty Tear." again by Burl Ives. "Try To Remmber." much recorded I have a version by Bobby Darin.

Also worth searching out is a obscure Frank Sinatra song recorded for Capiol called."This Was My Love. It was on a vinyl best of compilation years ago not sure if its got a cd release.

The classic old ballad "Barbara Allen". It is played in the Alistair Sim flm of A Christmas Carol.

Frank Sinatra's It Was a Very Good Year, with Nelson Riddle's incomparable arrangements.

This one does it for me - especially since it was recently sent to me by a very dear and special person....

I Apologize - Timi Yuro

Another one that moves me is this.... Allison Crowe - Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah
