Thumbs down

One i try hard to forget is We All Stand Together by the sometimes wicked Mr McCartney. Not quite as bad as Mull of Kintyre, but totally evil nevertheless.

Maybe Will Young could record it, and dress up as Rupert for the video.

I find that equally unlikely - that anyone from a show like that could have a political thought. That'd mean they had to stop thinking about themselves

That song by The Corrs, where the girl sort of yodels, is it "Breathless".

Ordinarily I like the group its just that particular one that grates me!

Keeping on the track of the subject forum .....

Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid .... stupidest b100dy song ever written; it took all my efforts to even type the title of both the song and the movie. Uuugghh!!!

This is war Wilson, not Sainsburys!

I agree - excruciatingly painful! I really wish that style would die out. I presume the trend was started by black American gospel singers turned pop singers...? Well, they should keep it locked up in their churches.

The only vocal gymnastics my ears find acceptable are delivered by the likes of the extraordinary Cecilia Bartolli.

Back to hates....

Like John Audley, I can't stand The Trolley Song.

The Donkey Serenade.

Worst of all is the hackneyed Amazing Grace, what a dreary, boring dirge! Especially irritating because most singers pause to take a breath in the middle of "amazing"...

Aamay
inhale
Ziiinggrace....

I always assumed it was because they couldn't sing a steady note. Either that or it was because they couldn't read music and so didn't know what it was meant to be. So they sing 20 notes on each phrase in the hope that one of them is correct

Can't stand Come on Eileen or any of that Stock, Aitken and Waterman rubbish from the late 80s.
